After countless trips across Canada, what can you expect from a band that’s touring to promote its 16th studio album? With Blue Rodeo, what you expect is the same fantastic show they’ve been putting on for nearly the past forty years. These iconic Canadian troubadours hit the stage at the Burton Cummings Theatre two nights in a row to sold out audiences, and their audience loved every moment of it. Unlike some bands that stick to their hits to satisfy their audience, Blue Rodeo mixed old favourites with new tracks from their latest album, Many A Mile. New songs like Ride Your Bike, I Owe It To Myself, and I Will Wait For You, mixed nicely into the set with some old faithful tracks like 5 Days in May, Till I Am Myself Again, and Lost Together. And the band didn’t only bring their great music. They also had a great looking stage with bright and colourful lights and projections along with a nice surprise at the end of the show when their friends Whitehorse joined them on stage.
