Day four of the 2023 Winnipeg Folk Festival brought some warmer weather and a great finale to another summer of music. We’ve had four fantastic days coving the festival and we hope that you’ve enjoyed all the photos.

Afternoon Workshop Stages

Sunday at the Winnipeg Folk Festival started off with one of the best attended workshops, the Sunday morning gospel workshop ‘Can You Feel It?’ The workshop celebrates amazing southern American gospel music with two fantastic band, the Black Opry Revue and The Campbell Brothers. We took in an indie workshop with three fantastic artists, Black Belt Eagle Scout, Charlotte Cornfield, and Faye Webster, and then we went over to the Green Ash stage for an amazing party with Balaklava Blues, the Low Down Brass Band, and Ruby Singh. Our afternoon closed out with at Big Blue with a concert from the classic 80’s/90’s rockers The Grapes of Wrath.

Main Stage

The Sunday main stage brought three festival highlights for many people. Atlanta’s Faye Webster kicked things off playing tracks from her 2022 album ‘Car Therapy Session.’ Following a tweener by Georgia Harmer, Australia’s Vance Joy took the stage to the cheers of the young folk in the crowd. Closing out Sunday night was festival headliner and the most highly anticipated band of the festival, The War On Drugs. The Grammy-winning rockers were a great closing show for this year’s festival.
