I’ll be the first to admit I’ve mostly been on the outside looking in when it comes to the K pop world. If you asked me before this show if I’d seen K pop Demon Hunters, I’d say yeah, and that’s probably where the conversation would end. Walking up to Rogers Arena completely changed that. Even before stepping inside, the level of dedication from fans was impossible to ignore. People were dressed as specific members, others proudly wore the red beanies straight out of the This Is For music video, and everywhere you looked someone was holding a wand fan glowing in anticipation. That wand fan quickly became the star of the crowd. Once the show began, they lit up in sync with the stage, turning the entire arena into a sea of coordinated light. It instantly elevated the experience, giving the night a larger than life feel. The closest comparison I can think of is Coldplay’s light up wristbands, where the crowd becomes part of the production instead of just watching it. Seeing that level of unity was honestly jaw dropping.
