Canadian rock fans were treated to a memorable evening as Arkells brought their latest tour to Montréal, showcasing both new music and fan-favourite hits in a performance packed with energy from start to finish.
Closer
The Juno Award-winning Canadian rock band from Ontario has been playing a series of smaller venues recently, giving fans a more intimate opportunity to experience the band’s electric live show. From the moment they took the stage, Arkells proved why they remain one of Canada’s premier live acts.
One of the most striking aspects of the performance was the energy coming from every member of the band. Throughout the night, everyone on stage was dancing, moving, and fully participating in the action, creating an atmosphere that was impossible not to get caught up in.
Frontman Max Kerman once again demonstrated why he is considered one of the best performers in Canadian rock. His interaction with the crowd was constant throughout the evening, helping create a strong connection between the band and the audience. One of the night’s standout moments came during the song “Ride” from the band’s brand-new album, when Kerman jumped directly into the crowd, sending fans into a frenzy.
The audience’s enthusiasm was evident throughout the set. Even songs from the recently released album Between Us, which arrived in April 2025, were met with loud singalongs from the Montréal crowd. Arkells performed Between Us in its entirety before shifting gears into a collection of some of their biggest and most beloved songs.
Fan favourites including “Leather Jacket” and “Knocking At The Door” kept the energy high as the night progressed. The band eventually returned for an encore performance of “On Paper,” providing a fitting conclusion to an already outstanding show.
