We Are Story Tellers

Bluesfest 2023 Day 7

Day 7 of the RBC Ottawa Bluesfest and the party continues on with more star-studded talent such as Indie folk band Fleet Foxes, former X-factor contestant Fletcher, and Nova Scotian Rich Aucoin! Headlining the RBC stage is Canadian pop, electric, and jazz singer Charlotte Cardin did she ever bring the heat to the stage?

River Stage

Opening the night at the River Stage is Ottawa’s Own Indie Rock group Pony Girl. Pony Girl has that smooth go-with-the-flow vibe, you just sit back and let their music take you away. They have a new LP coming out in the fall and we highly suggest you check them out!

Allison Russel is up next on the River stage. This all-female group packs a dynamic punch and brings such high energy and emotion to the stage.  Allison is all smiles as she moves her way on stage having little dance moments with her band members. An incredible performance and something you don’t want to miss out on.

Sirius XF Stage

Rich Aucoin Head lines the SiriusXM Stage and wow, what a massive dance party. Coming out he starts to play on his keyboard, after that he makes his way to the front of the stage where he jumps down and gets up close and personal with the crowd. If you have been to one of his shows, you know that is what he loves to do. He jumps right into the crowd and just hangs out and sings away. The best part of the night is if you remember being little at school in the gym and the teacher brings out the parachute you run under. Well if you go to a Rich Aucoin show you just might find yourself in one!

RBC Stage

So much talent was on the main stage at Bluesfest on day 7 that we are all still trying to cool off from the heat that these Women brought!

Opening the night was a Local artist from Smiths Fall, ON now moved on and is now a resident of Nashville, Amanda Jordan. Amanda has had great success and a career so far having her songs played on the hit TV show The Bachelor. She hit the stage in a glamourous dazzling outfit and hits the ground running. She has an amazing voice and her music is so full of life and energy. She loves to engage with the crowd a lot, she has definitely set the tone for the night ahead on the RBC Stage

Up next on the RBC stage is former X-Factor contestant Fletcher who some of you might know as Cari Fletcher. Fletcher has this calm and cool vibe to her as she comes out. With a little smirk on her face from screaming fans she lets go and wow what an incredible voice.  Fletcher does not like to stay still for long as she loves to dance and move all over the stage. She loves to interact with the crowd and you can tell she feeds off their energy, the louder they get the more Fletcher gives back to them!

Closing out the day is Montreal’s own Charlotte Cardin. Former teen model turned singer she is a double edge sword with her stunning beauty and powerful singing. She absolutely rocked the night and the thousands of people in attendance! She moves ever so elegantly on stage she captivates you with every move she makes.

She told the audience that she has a new album coming out soon and that she was going to play a whole bunch of unreleased songs one being the title track off the upcoming album “Puppy”. Charlotte brought down the house and set the bar high for the last few days, it was probably one of my favorite performances of the entire festival so far!

In Closing

With day 7 wrapped up, the hype for arguably the biggest day for rap/hip hop is just a few hours away! Day 8 brings legendary rapper turned movie star Ludacris. He will be on the RBC stage warming up the crowd while Mr. Worldwide himself, Pitbull, will bring the fireballs to close the main stage.
