We Are Story Tellers

Chase Atlantic in Montreal

It wasn’t your typical Sunday night this week in Montreal as Chase Atlantic an 24KGoldn rocked a sold out Mtelus. Screaming (and I mean SCREAMING) filled the legendary venue for a mind blowing show full of lights, emotion and talent.

24KGoldn

His first step into Montreal was clearly a huge one, as the crowd was hyped up before he even stepped on stage. The 23 year old San Francisco native gave a memorable set, singing to the crowd and even playing some live guitar, which paired with his afro gave thoughts of Jimi Hendrix. 24KGoldn made sure to play his hit song “Mood”, which was a huge reason for his success. An outstanding performance for such a young incredible artist.

Chase Atlantic

Personally, I didn’t know what to expect from Chase Atlantic, and they certainly blew my expectations out of the water. With their 3 tier stage, and full band playing alongside vocalist Mitchel Cave (or Mitty), they killed the performance, showing exactly why Mtelus was completely sold out. The band actually mentioned that the crowd was so loud they could hear nothing from their in ear monitors and they were right, I’ve never in my life heard a crowd going that crazy. The night was so full of positive energy and happy people, it was hard not to have a good time, even bringing out a fan from Brazil, who they knew the name of and called her out as she held a Brazilian flag over the balcony above.

The band shared their love for Montreal, and Montreal showed the love back!

I think next time the band could benefit from a larger venue such as Place Bell, because they really brought in a crowd.
