We are back at Cityfolk Fest 2022 – Day 1 and its nice to get have music back this year. Cityfolk has been a mainstay for Ottawa for many years and a great way to spend some time with some amazing music. The selection of acts for Cityfolk typically differs a little from Bluesfest but it’s always a great time.

The White Buffalo

The White Buffalo (fronted by Jake Smith) kicked off the festival right with a bang! With their high energy and excitement to play, these guys came to jam! The White Buffalo played songs that were used in the hit TV show Sons of Anarchy, including “The Whistler” and “Come Join The Murder”. The White Buffalo had electric energy, going full speed until the very end of their set.

Kathleen Edwards

Kathleen Edwards, an Ottawa native, rocked the stage! Kathleen and her band have great chemistry. In between singing, she goes over to each person and has a little jam session. After 20 years of performing, you can really see she has the passion and fire to come out and give it her all!

Zach Bryan

Zach closed out night one of the festivals with a bang! He had non-stop energy throughout his set, which his fans met with equal enthusiasm. Just two songs in, he stopped singing to listen to the crowd at CityFolk Fest overpower his own singing. Wearing an Ottawa Senators t-shirt, he came to put on a show for the city of Ottawa. Zach had the audience captivated from start to finish and absolutely ROCKED the stage!

With Cityfolk Fest 2022 – Day 1 at an end we are getting ready for Day 2 with a great lineup featuring none other than The Glorious Sons closing it out. Can’t wait for a killer show and if you don’t have your tickets check out the link below!
