Cityfolk Fest 2022 – Day 2 and we here with some rocking good music with the headliner being The Glorious Sons. Lots of fun music and lots of great times for sure.

Sophia Radisch

Opening night two of CityFolk Fest is Ottawa’s own Sophia Radisch. If you were at RBC Bluesfest this summer, you would have seen her rocking the big stage there. Sophia is all smiles and brings her huge energy to her set!

With her rhythmic riffs and powerful voice, Sophia keeps you engaged with her every move. Tonight, was no different. She absolutely set the tone for the evening with her performance. Sophia is the definition of rock and roll and the next time you see her name performing, you do not want to miss out!

The Blue Stones

Up next: the rock duo from Windsor, The Blue Stones. WOW is all I can say! These guys pack a punch! With Justin on drums and backup vocals and Tarek on guitar and main vocals, these two absolutely brought the heat.

The Blue Stones might be two people, but I can tell you that they rock out just as hard as any other band. These two have high energy and make sure to engage with the crowd and let them know that they are here to party and make you move. If you were not here and sad you missed out on seeing The Blue Stones, good news! They announced during their set that they will be returning to Ottawa in November for another show.

The Glorious Sons

Closing out night two was 2 time Juno award-winning group the Glorious Sons. The guys are no strangers when it comes to bringing the noise! Formed in 2011, these guys have made quite the name for themselves! It’s not a surprise that they have been nominated for 3 Juno awards, winning 2 awards for rock album of the year.

These guys definitely know how to rock the stage and you see that instantly when the lights come on and the music starts playing. You can see how much they love playing with one another as well- feeding off the energy from the crowd just gets them more hyped up. There was a moment when lead singer Brett Emmons jumped up onto a speaker to get closer to the crowd. You can see how much getting the crowd involved in the show means and that’s what makes a good show great! The Glorious Sons absolutely rocked CityFolk Festival tonight!
