Conan Gray in Minneapolis

Esha Tewari

Esha Tewari kicked off the night at the Target Center on February 19th, and she instantly had the crowd’s attention. Originally from Australia, she started sharing her music online and eventually building a loyal fanbase through her honest, diary-style songs.

She opened with “Bad Decisions,” the perfect sneak peek of her soft but captivating vocals. A little later, she played “You Were Mine,” which she called her “TikTok viral song,” and it easily got one of the biggest sing-alongs of her set. I was sitting right in front of a group of Esha super fans, which honestly made it even more fun — they knew every single word and were cheering between every song.

At one point, she mentioned it was her first time ever seeing snowfall and joked about how freezing Minneapolis is, which the crowd definitely related to. Even in a huge arena, her set felt really personal. She wrapped things up with “Beautiful Boy,” ending on a sweet, heartfelt note that had everyone ready for Conan.

Conan Gray

When Conan Gray hit the stage at the Target Center, the energy completely shifted. Since this was the very first stop on his Wishbone World Tour, everything felt extra exciting — like we were seeing it all unfold for the first time. He opened with an energetic performance of “My World,” which was the perfect way to start the set.

He mixed fan favorites with tons of songs from his newest album. “Wish You Were Sober,” “Heather,” “The Cut That Always Bleeds,” and “Maniac” had the entire arena screaming every word. One of the coolest moments of the night was during “Eleven Eleven,” when fans participated in a project by holding up different colored flashlights around the arena. Seeing the whole place light up in coordinated colors made the song feel even more special.

Midway through the show, Conan slowed things down for “Conan’s Campfire,” where he performed “The Story.” It was one of those quiet, emotional moments where you could hear a pin drop. He also surprised the crowd with an unreleased song called “The Best,” which made opening night feel even more exclusive.

Some of the most emotional performances were “Family Line” and “Connell.” You could really feel the vulnerability in those songs, and the crowd gave him their full attention. On top of that, everything about the show was impressive — the set design, the camera angles on the big screens, the wardrobe changes, and of course his vocals. Fans fully committed to the theme too, with so many people dressed in sailor-inspired outfits as a tribute to the album. There were even two girls dressed as caramels at the front of the stage, which did not go unnoticed.

He ended the night with an encore of “Memories” and “Caramel,” which was the perfect way to close out the first night of tour. Walking out of the arena, it felt like we had just witnessed the start of what’s bound to be a really spectacular tour.
