Counting Crows In Vancouver
Counting Crows In Vancouver was exactly the kind of kickoff the PNE needed to fire up its legendary summer festival. The PNE Summer Night Concerts have long been a tradition that pulls together artists from every corner of music, creating a lineup that feels like a love letter to the art itself. This year’s shows are back at the Pacific Coliseum, and word around the grounds is that many dates have already sold out, including this one. With tens of thousands of visitors pouring in daily, Counting Crows were always destined to be a major draw. This Vancouver performance wasn’t just a career retrospective, it was also a celebration of their newest album release, Butter Miracle: The Complete Sweets!
Setlist
To say the least, Counting Crows In Vancouver delivered a night steeped in nostalgia. With classics from August and Everything After, Hard Candy, and This Desert Life, the 13-track setlist had nearly everyone on their feet, singing and dancing along. Standout moments came with Round Here, A Long December, and Omaha. A few from Butter Miracle included Spaceman In Tulsa, and Under The Aurora. The band didn’t wait long to unleash their biggest hit, Mr. Jones, dropping it as the third song of the night and instantly sending the crowd into a frenzy. The biggest surprise, though, came with an unexpected cover of Taylor Swift’s The 1, a bold twist that caught fans off guard in the best way.
In Closing
By the time Counting Crows In Vancouver reached Holiday in Spain, it was clear they were the perfect choice to launch the Summer Nights Festival. The final track carried a sense of triumph, a reminder of Adam Duritz and company’s musical brilliance. As the last notes echoed through the Pacific Coliseum, the crowd rose to their feet, cheering not just for an unforgettable night but for a career that has given them decades of memories. You could feel nostalgia sweeping the room, stories and emotions resurfacing with every lyric. For many in the audience, this wasn’t the first time witnessing the band’s magic, and the hope lingered that it certainly won’t be their last.
