CPMF 2024 – Day 5: Guess The Genre (Wrong Answers Only)

Mighty Quinton Concerts brings Churchill Park Music Festival back to St. John’s, Newfoundland with a killer line up spanning over five days between Aug 9/10/16/17/18.

Alli Walker

Alli Walker opens the final night with a fresh and vibrant performance. Her blend of country and pop, combined with her upbeat personality, makes for entertaining songs and an amazing set. Walker’s songs are catchy, yet corny in the best way. She gets the crowd warmed up and ready for the final night of the festival with her infectious energy and rocking band. 

Highly recommend finding Alli Walker content and diving in!

High Valley

High Valley takes the stage next, bringing us their signature blend of country and bluegrass. Their harmonies are tight, and their performance is full of what feels like a brotherly love type of energy. The crowd responds enthusiastically, clapping and singing along to hits like “Make You Mine”, as the lead singer struts his way through the pit, giving high fives to fans.

High Valley’s set is both fun and uplifting, making them someone new on my music radar!

Charlotte Cardin

Charlotte Cardin brings a mix of indie pop and soul to the stage, captivating the audience with her unique voice and emotive performance. Her set is a blend of introspective ballads  “Somebody First” and upbeat tracks, “Meaningless” showcasing her versatility as an artist, ” and  Cardin’s stage presence is magnetic, and she leaves a lasting impression on the crowd with her powerful performance.

Charlottes closes out her set with “Confetti”! Getting the crowd dancing and ready for Shania!

Shania Twain

Shania Twain closes out the festival with a THIRD SOLD OUT night and grand finale performance that leaves the crowd on a high. Twain’s connection with Canada and Newfoundland as a whole is incredible and tonight she yelled it from the top of her lungs while incorporating a Canadian Flag into her outfit as a kimono type of coverup. She performs each song with the same intensity and emotion that made her a star.

Tonight two men were brought on stage to dance and sing and the crowd is fully engaged, singing along to every hit, and Twain leaves the stage to a standing ovation, marking the perfect end to an unforgettable festival.
