We Are Story Tellers
Day 6 – Ottawa Bluesfest 2022 brought punk rock to the city with some amazing acts like Millencolin, Sum 41, and Alexisonfire!
Opening up the inside stage was Mischa! This local Ottawa Hip Hop artist brought a full lighting crew, sound crew, and even backup dancers to put on a party. She has been gaining some traction in the local music scene and also recently played Metro metro Festival in Montreal. This was a seated show but she had everyone standing up and grooving along with her!
What can I say about this band but just PERFECTION. After all these years, Sum41 still knows how to put on an incredible show. Their stage design and stage presence are unmatched compared to what we have seen at Bluesfest so far. This show was like listening to their best hits album, not missing a single song that everyone enjoys.
Charlie Cunningham opened up the River Stage today. This was a slower-paced set than the rest of the evening but it was nice to get an acoustic break from all the rock happening around the grounds. It’s always nice to see the variety of music the organizers bring to the festival each year to make as many fans happy as they can.
This band needs no introduction. The Canadian legends themselves, Alexisonfire. With rugs laid all over the stage, this band knows how to put on a show. Moody lighting, tasty licks, and all the classics. The festival was packed from gate to stage. Dallas Green, as always, had an incredible voice and George controlled the crowd with his hair flipping and theatrics. Alexisonfire, come back to Ottawa anytime!
