Disturbed in Los Angeles

Disturbed’s 25th anniversary tour stop at the Kia Forum was nothing short of insane—in the best way possible. From the second the lights went out, the energy in the venue felt like it could crack concrete. They came out swinging, and David Draiman made one hell of an entrance, being wheeled out in a straight jacket like a scene straight out of a horror movie. It was theatrical, dramatic, and totally on-brand. The band didn’t waste any time either—just four songs in, they dropped “Down With the Sickness” and the whole place exploded. Mosh pits opened, fists flew into the air, and you could feel the floor shaking under the weight of that collective scream.

Disturbed

Draiman was a force all night, switching up outfits three different times like he was entering a new phase of the show with each one. Each look carried its own energy, and he wore them like armor. Whether he was belting out the heavier tracks or dialing it down for something more emotional, he had full control of the room. His voice was just as strong as ever—sharp, aggressive, and full of conviction. It’s wild seeing a band 31 years deep still sound this great and this passionate about what they’re doing.

The pyro alone could’ve been its own headliner. Flames shot into the air like clockwork, completely syncing with the drops and breakdowns. It made the entire stage feel alive, dangerous, even. It’s rare to see a metal show this polished without losing any grit, but Disturbed somehow nailed both. Everything looked and sounded massive, but it still felt personal. You could see it in the way the crowd fed off every second, singing every word back like it meant something.

There was a really cool balance between nostalgia and something fresh. Sure, fans were there for the classics, but the newer tracks didn’t feel like filler. Draiman took a few moments to talk to the crowd, touching on mental health, unity, and the band’s journey. It wasn’t preachy, it felt honest. That connection is what’s kept this band around for as long as they’ve been. They didn’t just play songs, they told a story, and everyone in the room felt like part of it.

By the end of the night, there wasn’t a single person standing still. Sweaty, loud, and completely satisfied, that’s the kind of show this was. Disturbed didn’t just play a setlist, they lit a fire under the entire Kia Forum and reminded everyone why they’re still one of the most impactful names in hard rock. After 31 years, they haven’t lost an ounce of that chaos—and they’re still damn good at making it feel brand new.
