We Are Story Tellers

Disturbed Ignites Montreal: A Night of Metal Mayhem

Montreal’s metalheads showed up in full force for a night of hard-hitting nostalgia and high-energy performances. With Sevendust, Three Days Grace, and Disturbed on the bill, fans knew they were in for something special. What they got was a relentless sonic assault that left no one standing still.

Sevendust

Kicking off the night, Sevendust proved why they’ve remained a staple of the nu-metal scene since the late ‘90s. Their set was pure energy, with frontman Lajon Witherspoon feeding off the crowd’s excitement. Clearly comfortable on stage, he even mentioned his hopes of moving to Canada—something the front-row fans seemed more than happy about. Their performance fit seamlessly into the lineup, making it clear why they were paired with Disturbed and Three Days Grace.

Three Days Grace: A Tale of Two Voices

Three Days Grace delivered a set that was as much about history as it was about the music. With the return of original singer Adam Gontier, the band now boasts both past and present vocalists, creating a dynamic back-and-forth throughout their performance. They opened with the explosive “Animal I Have Become,” setting the tone for a set that blended old-school anthems like “Never Too Late” with newer material featuring both singers harmonizing. The crowd wasn’t shy about showing their enthusiasm—chants of “Three Days Grace” echoed between sets, proving the band’s lasting impact.

Disturbed: 25 Years of The Sickness

The headliners took the stage with an intensity only they could deliver. Celebrating the 25th anniversary of The Sickness, Disturbed played the iconic album in its entirety. Frontman David Draiman made a dramatic entrance in a straightjacket, setting the mood for the chaos that followed. The show wasn’t just about nostalgia—it was a full-blown production, complete with a short-form video highlighting the album’s legacy and enough pyrotechnics to rival a small inferno.

After a brief intermission, the band returned to deliver another 7-8 tracks from their extensive catalog. Each song hit with force, but for many, the undeniable highlight was “Down with the Sickness.” The crowd roared the infamous opening scream in unison, creating a moment of pure metal catharsis.

From start to finish, this was a show that celebrated not just Disturbed’s history but the enduring power of heavy music. Montreal once again proved itself as a city that lives and breathes metal, and for one unforgettable night, fans were reminded why these bands still reign supreme.
