Foreigner lit up Vancouver with a night packed full of hits. Stepping in for the original lineup, Kelly Hansen took charge on lead vocals, joined by Luis, Bruce, Jeff, Chris, and Michael. Some of these bandmates have spent over two decades keeping the Foreigner legacy alive. Perfecting the high-octane energy behind the band’s classic sound. Pulling tracks from 4, Double Vision, and their self-titled debut, the show felt like a full-blown career celebration. Vancouver soaked up every moment. The sold-out PNE Summer Night Concert erupted as Hansen stormed the stage, launching straight into “Double Vision” and setting the tone for a powerhouse night.

From high kicks, endless energy, and constant fan interaction, Kelly Hansen and crew wasted no time launching into the hits. Cold As Ice had the crowd on their feet early, followed by Waiting For A Girl Like You and Feels Like The First Time, a fitting anthem for many experiencing Foreigner live for the first time. One of the night’s standout moments came when guitarist Luis Maldonado took over vocal duties for Juke Box Hero. The crowd exploded, singing every lyric in unison and creating a pulse of energy that shook the PNE grounds. The atmosphere was electric. Kelly and company didn’t just honor Foreigner’s legacy, they amplified it. Whether you were a die-hard fan from the 80s or a newcomer hearing these classics live for the first time, the night carved out memories destined to last for years.
In Closing
By the final notes of Hot Blooded, Foreigner had Vancouver completely under their spell. The chorus roared so loud it could be heard well beyond the venue, leaving no doubt a Foreigner concert was happening nearby. As the band said their goodbyes, the crowd erupted, unsure if they’d ever get another chance to see this legendary lineup. The cheers were so intense it felt like the venue itself was shaking.
