Canadian Rock singer-songwriter Hawksley Workman live at The Park Theatre was packed Monday evening for his live performance presented by Winnipeg Folk Fest. The multi-instrumentalist wowed the crowd with songs from the albums he’s put out over the last 23 years and the energy in the room was high. Having so many amazing accolades under your belt just goes to show that you love your craft. Our team at Hidden Beats had the opportunity to have a one-on-one interview with the man himself earlier this year and wow, what a down-to-earth guy. You can feel the passion he has for what he does and the conversations flow with ease.
Show Time
Hawk interacted with fans right from the moment he hit the stage till the moment he walked off. Fans had the privilege of hearing two sets from the JUNO award-winning artist in a beautiful and intimate setting that one of my favorite local venues, The Park Theatre provides. Playing as many songs as he did you were bound to hear a track you loved. Hawksley Workman was putting in the work keeping the crowd enthralled with two sets broken up by a small intermission in between giving the crowd an opportunity to catch their breath and get ready for round two.
Overall, the night was flawless. The venue was full of excited fans, the band including Workman sounded amazing and the two-set performance was an absolute delight to see. Coming out of a long weekend this was a perfect way to spend a Monday night in Winnipeg, seeing Hawksley Workman live at The Park Theatre. Be sure to stay up to date with his socials and if you have the chance to check out any of the remaining tour dates in a city near you, we encourage you to do so! What a fun time for music!
