We Are Story Tellers

Jordan Davis in Anaheim

Last night, Jordan Davis in Anaheim sold out the House of Blues and ended his first run of shows for the New Year. While it may have been a Sunday, Jordan had everyone feeling like it was a Saturday night! He is known for his hit singles like “Buy Dirt” which features Luke Bryan, “Slow Dance In A Parking Lot”, “Almost Maybes”, and “Next Thing You Know” which won Song of the Year at the 2022 CMA’s!

Danielle Bradbery

Opening the night was Danielle Bradbery, a Texas native who won season four of ‘The Voice’ and is known for her hit singles like “Stop Dragging Your Boots”, “Sway”, “Worth It” and more! Danielle hadn’t even graced the stage yet and fans were already going wild as the lights dimmed for her to come out. Danielle has an electrifying stage presence that constantly has fans wanting more, especially when she covered the hit song “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!” by Shania Twain, fans loved every second, and I myself was thoroughly impressed. Danielle is a phenomenal singer and is worth watching live! If you get the chance, you should go catch a show on her “A Special Place” tour that kicks off on February 23rd.

Jordan Davis

Lights dimmed and I truly don’t believe I’ve ever heard screams/chants as loud as I did this night for Jordan Davis, fans were going crazy. As a fan of Jordan myself, I was excited to hear him live and he didn’t disappoint at all. He had fans on his feet throughout his entire set, there wasn’t a song that the crowd didn’t know. At one point the crowd overpowered his vocals with how loud they were singing back to him.

As the night went on, Jordan performed his hit song that won a CMA “Next Thing You Know” and as he hit the lyrics “Next thing you know, you’re saving money like never before, just to spend it all at the jewelry store, getting down on one knee on her mama’s porch just praying she doesn’t say no…” a fan in the crowd in fact dropped to one knee, praying that she wouldn’t say no and proposed. Good news, she said yes! Jordan noticed and shouted them out saying congratulations and also mentioning that this was the first time anyone’s ever proposed during this song at one of his concerts. The videographer was even able to capture the proposal in time and I managed to get some shots of it as well from upstairs.

In Closing

It’s safe to say that this concert was definitely one to remember and I will absolutely be attending another Jordan Davis concert in the future. If you ever get the chance to see him live, I strongly encourage you to do so! He’s truly an amazing songwriter, a genuine guy, and has phenomenal vocals both recorded and live. It’s an experience that you won’t regret!
