On a sunny Sunday, June 4th, RBC Echo Beach in Toronto transformed into a vibrant haven of queerness as the Lavender Wild Festival took place. Supported by Live Nation and perfectly timed in the first week of Pride Month, this one-day festival delivered an extraordinary lineup of 2SLGBTQ+ artists from both the local Toronto scene and beyond.

The festival kicked off with Shawnee Kish, whose powerful vocals and captivating stage presence set the tone for an unforgettable day. Jade Lemac followed, making her debut performance and leaving the crowd in awe with her raw talent and undeniable charisma. Throughout the day, the audience was treated to sensational drag performances, with Gay Jesus, The Virgo Queen, and Miss Moco taking the stage and leaving the crowd begging for more. These performers brought unmatched energy and charisma, igniting a runway down the crowd that created a thrilling atmosphere.

Next Level

Myst Milano took the festival to another level with their supercharged energy and engaging interaction with the audience. G Flip brought a unique twist to her performance, showcasing her drumming skills while delivering mesmerizing vocals. Adding to the excitement, Chrishell from Netflix’s “Selling Sunset” was spotted supporting G Flip, adding to the buzz and celebrity presence at the event. The Aces and Daya continued to electrify the crowd with their energetic performances. Despite battling strep throat, Daya delivered a handful of EDM collaborations, demonstrating her resilience and dedication to her craft.

Hayley Kiyoko, accompanied by two backup dancers, took the stage with insane choreography that left the audience in awe. Her powerful performance and undeniable stage presence showcased why she is a true icon in the LGBTQ+ community. Closing the festival with a bang, Girl in Red, fresh from her appearance as an opening act on Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, delivered a performance that was both captivating and inspiring.
