We have another sold out show with lil Mosey brought to you by The Diamond Mine Agency folks. With over 800 seats sold this was set to be a pretty crazy night at Algonquin College. I got there early to help with the set up behind the scenes for the event since this one was going to be all hands on deck. Mosey and his crew got there for sound check and we went right to the stage and knocked it out. Around this time all the openers were showing up for their sound checks also. One thing I will say right off the hop is that Mosey is eager to work and put in time on stage. He even said we should have put on a second date since this one sold out when it did.
We had a small meet and greet before the show. Once we had it all set up and started funneling in the fans. It was kind of cool to see the younger fans come in, some of which was their first concert ever. Lil Mosey took the time to talk to each and every one of them and get that personal touch. He asked everyone what their favorite songs were and even told them he would be looking for them singing. Everyone got a poster signed as well as the occasional Snapchat story. It’s nice to see an artist interact like that with the fans.
Opening Acts
We had a few locals on deck to open up the night. We had Apollo Rae followed up by JLoud and these locals sure got the crowd in the right kind of mood. This was one of the biggest stages these young artists have rocked at this point but they held their own for sure. Both made sure to connect with the fans with every opportunity they got. Up next from Edmonton we had Cab’Ral. I was a little unsure about this one, first thing I noticed was a large walking boot. He did his thing in stage and even got down on the barricade to rock with fans. That boot didn’t stop him one but I’m sure he was hurting after the fact.
LIL Mosey
It was time for the main event and the DJ was rocking out some tunes to keep the energy flowing. This included a few tracks I haven’t heard in a while. Once the crowd was at the right level lil Mosey got the nod. He hit the stage with a fan explosion. He got right into some of his most well-known tracks and the fans lit up the room with cell phone lights. Mosey has a pretty awesome fan base spanning all ages. Everyone was rocking out and he was feeding off that energy on stage. The night ended out with a surprise track from his new album.
It’s always nice to have a sold out show and Lil Mosey and his team were super easy to work with. The Diamond Mine Agency put another solid show in the books with this one and we look forward to next time we get to work with Mosey again. Have fun on the rest of the date’s man.
