Monolink heats up Toronto in 2026 on new Canada/ US tour

Monolink heats up Toronto in 2026 as thursday night at History he opened up his Canadian & US tour, The Beauty of it All, with a sold out show. Despite Toronto being engulfed in the heart of our freezing Canadian winter, people were lined up down the road, waiting for the doors to open. From the outside, passersby would never know that just inside the venue’s walls an ambient house takeover was only a short wait away.

Catching Flies

Catching Flies, also known as George King, is a rising multi instrumental artist that blurs the lines between production, djing and traditional instrumental application. Calling the UK home, his music is reflective of the modern, industrial sounds you might hear making your way through the rain slick city streets.

During his set he played a mixture of bouncy remixes that captured the crowd’s attention and drum heavy beats, utilizing his digital drum set to create unique and high energy sounds. He folds in traditional musical styles with a creative digital signature that sounds solely his own.

Monolink

Monolink dipped in front of the curtain, his demeanor was humble and grounded. He smiled, waving at the audience who screamed for him. His hands deftly began to play, mixing keys and synthes that created haunting melodies as he harmonized. His first song was a slow and steady climb, like the feeling of waves rocking gently, but with more of the stage to still unveil, the tension continued to build.

As he wound his way behind the curtain, his silhouette growing taller and more imposing, a strong beat helped craft the theatrics of the moment. Strobes flashing wildly as he danced across the curtain still blocking the remainder of the stage. The crowd cheered, shouting for the curtain to come down. When the room seemed to reach a peak, the curtain dropped to the ground, revealing several large hives and a striking DJ and artist set up.

Strong pillars centred him and made him seem like an extension of the set rather than an artist using the set as prop pieces. Soft singing, and steady thrumming beats filled the venue, and everywhere you looked, people swayed, lost in his sound, lost in the show, and the feeling of the moment. He played popular songs like “Father Ocean.” And lots of new music off his album, like “call of the void”, and “Mesmerized.”

Closing

As cold as Toronto might get in the middle of February, it barely touched the guests dancing away inside History. Monolink’s tour definitely showed everyone The Beauty of it All.
