NEEDTOBREATHE‘s ‘Cave’ tour finally arrived at its highly anticipated Bronson Centre stop in Ottawa. Together, with the talented American Duo Tall Heights, an unforgettable night was delivered to hundreds of adoring fans.
Opening for NEEDTOBREATHE was no other than renowned duo Tall Heights, cherished for their ethereal harmonies and intricate instrumentation. Well known for their unique fusion of folk and indie pop, Tall Heights immediately swept the crowd off their feet as they effortlessly constructed an immersive melodic soundscape that filled the room.
Guitarist Tim Harrington and cellist Paul Wright displayed remarkable facial expressions and emotion throughout the set, showcasing the deep passion held for their craft. One hit song after another, the duo captivated the audience, holding them completely entrances. Concert goers were even treated to a preview of a track from the upcoming album Softly Softly, set to be released to the public the day after the concert.
Soft smiles filled the room as both musicians brought their stools to the front of the stage, almost within arm’s reach, to perform an intimate acoustic segment of the set. From start to finish the set was thoughtfully designed, filled with intricate musical inclinations, humorous quips and a certain warmth that can be difficult to cultivate in larger venues.
