When you think about hometown hip-hop, Night Lovell should certainly be one of the tops of your list. The Diamond Mine Agency brought him back to tear the house down in his hometown show.
A native of Ottawa, Night Lovell has been on the scene since 2013. He gained notoriety after his track Dark Light went viral in 2014. Since then he has released 3 albums and worked with many artists including Pouya and the Suicideboys.
Good Night Lovell
Night Lovell is on tour celebrating his newest album “Good Night Lovell” which dropped earlier this year in February. We got to venue being Algonquin College early to help with set up and whatever was needed. There was an interesting stage kit ready to be brought in including a full cage!
Starting out the night was tour support ILLYMINIACHI and lil Darklord. Both these guys came out hard and had the fans going insane. The whole floor was moshing and jumping and going absolutely nuts and we weren’t even at the end of the night. The crowd was a ready for the main event.
There was a little delay with Night Lovell getting on stage and the crowd was starting to get a little antsy.
The Main Event – Night Lovell
Once the lights dropped and the graphic hit the wall the crowd exploded. He hit the stage with max energy. As a special note, because this was his hometown show, there was all kinds of friends and family in the crowd. It’s always nice to see the support from your loved ones.
Night made sure to hit all the right high points even playing tracks from Pouya and Wifisfuneral. He also had a nice tribute to the late XXXTentacion which fans loved. Fans also got to enjoy 2 separate Walls of Death in the mosh pit just to make things a little crazier.
Right near the end of the night a fight broke out on the floor and Night stopped the whole show and turned the lights up. Instead of kicking the 2 out he got them to shake hands and otherwise he was stopping the rest of the show. He makes sure his fans are taken care of and that’s the sign of someone who cares about what he does.
It was a pleasure getting to work with Night Lovell and his team and we certainly look forward to when they come back to town.
