It’s the final day at Ottawa Bluesfest, and festival-goers are buzzing with excitement, eager to soak up more incredible music. Many are arriving early to secure the best spots on the festival grounds, hoping to catch the day’s final acts.

With a diverse lineup scheduled for the day, there’s something for everyone, from rock and blues to hip-hop and folk. As the anticipation builds for the closing acts, festival-goers can feel the sense of community and shared passion for music that makes Ottawa Bluesfest a memorable experience.

Banngz

Kicking off the night is Nigerian rapper Banngz, who brings both style and flair to his set. With “Love Banngz” embroidered onto his clothes, he’s an instant eye-catcher. The heavy beats and bass, combined with his smooth rapping style, light up the stage and energize the crowd early in the night.

Banngz seamlessly blends traditional Nigerian rhythms with contemporary rap, creating a unique sound that resonates with a diverse audience. As he performs hits that showcase his lyrical prowess and catchy hooks, the energy in the venue grows.

Rebelle

Up next on the RBC stage is local rock band Rebelle, who have been making waves in the Ottawa music scene for years. Every time I catch them, it’s a real treat! Their high energy and enthusiasm on stage are incredibly infectious, and that’s not to mention their insanely catchy riffs.

Rebelle’s dynamic presence captivates everyone with each member showcasing their talent, their passion and love for the music are evident as they perform; each note resonates with the way they move on stage. It’s clear that every element of their performance is infused with emotion. As I mentioned, they are truly a joy to watch, and the Ottawa community is incredibly lucky to have them in the music scene.

LefloFranco

Up next on the Hard Rock stage is another local talent, LeFloFranco. This Franco-Ontario rapper brings a unique blend of infectious beats and positivity that instantly elevates the atmosphere. LeFloFranco is known for his engaging stage presence and lyrical prowess, seamlessly weaving together French and English in his performances. As he takes the stage, the crowd is immediately drawn in by his charismatic energy and vibrant sound.

His set features a mix of catchy tracks and heartfelt anthems, each one encouraging the audience to embrace joy and unity. The uplifting messages in his lyrics is refreshing and amazing for fans of all ages, creating a sense of connection that transcends language barriers.

Savannah Shea

The Sheepdogs

Their infectious enthusiasm and tight musicianship create an unforgettable atmosphere. As band members stands side by side, playfully strumming their guitars, as if they’re back home enjoying a casual jam session. This camaraderie shines through in their performance, making the experience feel intimate and inviting, as if they’re sharing a special moment with each member of the audience

This was a spectacular performance; the energy radiating from the stage was truly electrifying. These talented musicians not only showcase their impressive skills but also exude an infectious joy that makes them a delight to watch. Their chemistry on stage is incredible, as they effortlessly engage with the crowd, encouraging everyone to join in the fun. From their captivating solos to their harmonious ensemble work, every moment is filled with excitement and creativity. It’s a rare treat to witness such a dynamic group.

4Korners

the Hard Rock stage is Canadian DJ 4Korneers, delivering an absolutely electric performance that sets the night ablaze. With an infectious energy that pulses through the crowd. As he plays bangers and hit songs, the crowd erupts into a massive dance floor, with everyone jumping up and down and singing their hearts out.

As the sun sets, the visuals and lights on stage grow brighter and more intense, creating a spectacular display that captivates the audience. 4Korners is brimming with energy, seamlessly feeding off the crowd’s enthusiasm. The combination of stunning visuals and infectious beats made for a fun show all around.

River City Junction

Inside the Barney Danson Theatre, River City Junction takes the stage as a Canadian Blues Retro-Rock power trio that captivates the audience. With their unique blend of classic blues influences and retro rock flair, they deliver a sound that is both nostalgic and fresh.

Age has certainly not slowed down original members Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman. Bursting with energy and enthusiasm, these rock legends still know how to deliver an electrifying performance. Their passion for music shines through every note, proving that they continue to rock just as passionately as they did in their prime.
