A Night to Remember: Papa Roach in Seattle Shakes the Climate Pledge Arena

If you were anywhere near the Climate Pledge Arena on April 1, 2025, you probably felt the buzz. Fans packed the venue, ready for an epic night with Papa Roach in Seattle, alongside Rise Against and special guests Underoath. The “Rise of the Roach” tour marked 25 years of rock excellence for both Papa Roach and Rise Against, and Seattle was ready to celebrate.

Underoath Powers Through Unexpected Challenges

Underoath kicked off the night with an electric charge that filled every corner of the arena. For over 15 years, I’ve had the chance to photograph these guys, but seeing them in a massive arena setting for the first time was something special. Just two songs into their set, the power suddenly went out.

Instead of letting the moment kill the mood, frontman Spencer Chamberlain kept the crowd alive with quick jokes and sharp wit. It turned a technical glitch into a personal, unforgettable memory. Once the power was restored, Underoath came back even stronger, ripping through the rest of their set with pure heart.

Rise Against Brings the Fire

Next up, Rise Against hit the stage — and it didn’t take long for the photo pit (and the whole arena) to erupt with energy. Smiling behind my camera, I caught their explosive opening with “Re-Education,” a track that still hits like a punch to the chest.

They pulled from their deep catalog, giving fans a mix of old anthems and newer hits. Frontman Tim McIlrath’s soaring vocals connected with every soul in the room, and the band’s tight performance kept the energy high from start to finish.

Papa Roach Proves They're Just Getting Started

Then it was time for the legends themselves — Papa Roach. The second they hit the stage, the crowd answered with a roar that shook the arena. This was not just another show. It was a full-blown celebration of everything Papa Roach has built over 25 years.

They tore through songs from Infest all the way to their latest work, blending nostalgia with evolution. Jacoby Shaddix worked the stage with non-stop energy, and you could feel the bond between the band and the fans. It wasn’t just a concert; it was a giant, sweaty, singing-together, head-banging thank you.

If you missed Papa Roach in Seattle, you missed a night where music, memories, and pure rock energy collided in the best way. Here’s to another 25 years of chaos, heart, and unforgettable shows!
