We Are Story Tellers

Royal and the Serpent in Los Angeles

Royal and the Serpent sells out The Roxy in Los Angeles. A truly unique and insane night watching Royal and the Serpent headline in front of a sold out crowd.

Baby Fisher

Baby Fisher opened the night to get the crowd amped up and ready for Royal and the Serpent. Baby Fisher is an Alternative/Indie artist who really knows how to put on a show, they had the crowd captivated with their stage presence the entire set. They are known for their songs “Don’t Cut Your Hair” and “Gas Money” which they played both and the crowd truly loved every minute. As they ended the set, they thanked RATS for letting them go on tour with them and Los Angeles for having them and promised to be back soon.

Carlie Hanson

Carlie Hanson was up next and I hadn’t heard of her prior to this concert but I definitely left a new fan, Carlie preformed some of her hit songs like “Side Effects”, “Numb”, and more. She had a great stage presence, moving around and using her whole body to convey the feeling of her songs. The crowd loved every minute and she had them hyped and ready for Royal and the Serpent to take the stage.

Royal and the Serpent

RATS graced the stage and the crowd went insane, I’ve shot a lot of concerts and this was one that really impressed me with how involved/hyped the crowd was! I had the opportunity to see Royal and the Serpent live when they were opening for Fall Out Boy, which was nothing like this headlining show. I was impressed at her opening set but her headlining show was truly insane and so much fun. She utilized every inch of the stage and fans were loving every minute of it, truly captivated the crowd throughout her entire performance. The first half of the set was very “light” and then the second half switched to a “Welcome to Hell” scene and the energy the fans had was amazing. She performed some of her hit songs like “Overwhelmed”, “Eat Spit”, “One Nation Underdogs”, and more. She even brought out two special guests for her last show, Phem and American Teeth.

RATS had a unique set that had not only the crowd entertained throughout the entirety but also me, I was already a fan prior but the dedication, talent and energy had me leaving with a newfound respect for her. She’s an artist who has a super diverse fanbase but really knows how to entertain her fans and keep them engaged the entire set.
