Serena Ryder made a stop in Ottawa to deck the halls and bring in some holiday cheer with her Christmas Kisses Tour. This was a great way to bring in the cheer and start off the Christmas holidays on the right foot.
Serena Ryder has been active on the scene since 1999 and was born and raised right here in Ontario. She has released several studio albums and Eps to have a well curated catalog of music under her belt. On top of this Serena has won Juno’s for Artist of the Year and Songwriter of the Year.
The NAC
The NAC played host for this night of great music. It’s not every often I shoot at this venue which makes it a little more interesting trying to shoot different setups.
Serena Ryder
Starting out the night with a great rendition of Let it Snow, the show was off to a great start. Serena played a vibrant mixed set including Christmas songs like Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and Santa Claus is Coming to Town. She mixed in a few of her own signature hit which is a great way to make every fan happy. Taking time to interact with the fans, Serena actually walked up and down the aisles to sing a little more intimately with the fans.
This tour is all about selfcare and giving around this holiday season Serena told the crowd. She wanted to make sure everyone out there was taking care of themselves this time of year. People truly seemed to enjoy the show. They were singing along with the songs and even dancing all the way in the back of the place.
This was a great way to bring in the holidays and Serena Ryder is truly a wonderful artist. She has such an amazing voice and you can’t help but enjoy a show like this. Everyone likes a good Christmas tune.
Merry Christmas everyone.
