We Are Story Tellers
Silverstein takes over the House of Blues in Anaheim for their 25 Years of Noise Tour with special guest Thursday. Silverstein sold out the main room and had fans enjoying a night of all their classics and new music!
Thursday opened for Silverstein and delivered in every aspect. They opened up with “The Other Side of the Crash/Over and Out”, lead singer Geoff Rickly rocked a classic all black fit.
Rickly impressed me with his stage presence, he utilized every inch of the stage. He came to center stage and knelt down for a performance which lead me to getting some incredible photos! He also wrapped the microphone cord around his neck and really delivered a nostalgic emo performance.
Silverstein took the stage and gave the crowd a performance to remember. The drummer, Paul Koehler, was towards the back of the stage on a massive riser, the tallest one I’ve ever seen. Lead singer, Shane Told, came out in a unique patterned white and black shirt and leather jacket. He did not hold back on his performance, he utilized the stage and came over the riser to the very end of the stage, knelt down, and gave an epic scream. I was right in front of him and was able to capture that moment which turned out to be my favorite of the night! Silverstein performed their hits along with newer music, giving a well rounded setlist for all fans to enjoy. The night was filled with nostalgia and tons of crowd surfing, one fan in particular crowd surfed and was able to reach far enough that he made contact with the lead singer as Shane Told grabbed his hand and sang for a few seconds before security put the fan down. This moment made me gain a newfound respect for Shane Told, he really knew how to make that fans night and make sure he’d never forget it. As the night ended, you could clearly tell fans were sad to see it end but it was a night that they will never forget!
