Calling all the dogs, Citizen is here! Opening up the show under a melancholy cloudy sky as raindrops covered the crowd, it almost seemed too perfect. Their 10 song setlist took the crowd through their stacked discography. From their iconic Youth album to their newest release Calling All The Dogs their set gave a little piece to every type of fan, whether old or new. The poetic nature that rain poured down during “The Night I Drove Alone” and the sunset peaked out during “Dogs”. Citizen did not let the rain keep them down and delivered a show that had the crowd begging for more!
Taking Back Sunday
High off the release of their newest album 152, Taking Back Sunday delivered a 20 track setlist to a sold out crowd at Jannus Live in St. Petersburg Florida under the foreboding clouds of an incoming tropical storm. Even if you are not a fan of Taking Back Sunday, you were surely in for a show. Whether it was crowd anthems being belted out, or watching lead Adam Lazzara swing around his corded mic, many times without hands, you were engaged the whole time.
The stage was lit with a large neon 152 logo from their latest album, serving as a grounding image as Lazzara and band moved around the tiered stage.The setlist was a perfect mix from all of their albums, giving fans old and new a bit of everything. They ended the night with “MakeDamnSure” which had the whole crowd moving, singing lyrics back to the band as the house lights went up. One thing is for damn sure, Taking Back Sunday puts on a show that won’t disappoint.
