We Are Story Tellers

Tebey Shotgun Rider Part 2

Tebey Shotgun Rider Part 2 started in Ottawa last night with a bang! The tour has been a long time coming having been canceled with covid previously which meant everyone was anxious to party. It was also Valentine’s day so there were couples plenty and love were in the air! The native Canadian and Nashville resident has brought some amazing music to the scene for a little while now so fans knew they could count on a fun night. Algonquin Commons Theatre is always a great venue to be at and the staff is amazing.

Five Roses

Along for the ride is Montreal native Five Roses. Taking some cues from bands like Little Big Town and Lady A, the duo brings some fun energy to the stage and some great music. I have actually had the pleasure to see these 2 live recently at the Boots and Hearts music festival this past summer so I had some experience with their music. As it turns out this is actually the first full tour the roses have been on which is that music more exciting to see their growth.

They played the big stage at Algonquin like pros taking the time to engage with the audience along the way. It’s always fun when artists bring covers out to the live shows and we had a good one with their take on Olivia Rodrigo’s Good 4 U. This duo in the Five Roses is only going up from here and I for one am a fan of their music and their live shows

Tebey

Now the main event of the night and the reason everyone is here. The lights dimmed and the music started as the band hit the stage. They started out with some amazing shredding on the guitars and these guys are pros at what they do like Juno/grammy nominated Jordan Honsinger. When Tebey came out the fans erupted and the party was in full swing. The energy started out from the first song and kept up for the whole show! The whole band is absolutely amazing to watch live and these guys work so well together!

Tebey made sure to take some time and interact with the fans even taking a phone for a classic stage selfie which I’m sure the fan was ecstatic over. He made sure to play some crowd favorites like the massively popular Happened on a Saturday Night and one of my personal favs Wake Me Up ft. Emerson drive. There was also a great meet and greet after the show which included some contest winners along with die-hard fans. Tebey is such a stand-up guy and takes the time to connect with fans along the way as much as he can I for one love seeing him live and will certainly be out to another show.
