It was only a matter of time before The Beatles popped up on This Week in Music, and it will not be the last.

They released their 12^th and final album entitled Let it Be, on May 8^th 1970. Truly, this was the end of an era.

Irish singer Sinead O’Connor announced her refusal to perform on Saturday Night Live on May 9^th 1990 due to controversial comedian Andrew Dice Clay set to host on the same night. Sinead did not want to appear on the same episode with a comedian who she believed promoted sexual violence and was regarded as anti-woman. This will not be the last time Sinead and SNL are discussed in the same breath. See you all in October!
