On a night packed with nostalgia, raw energy, and unapologetic hip-hop, Wu-Tang Clan lit up Place Bell in Laval with a performance that was nothing short of legendary.
Opening the evening was none other than Run the Jewels, the explosive duo consisting of Brooklyn producer/rapper El-P and Atlanta powerhouse Killer Mike. Known for their politically charged lyrics, rapid-fire delivery, and undeniable chemistry, the pair had the crowd fired up from the start. They delivered a high-octane set full of lyrical acrobatics and booming beats, clearly honored to be warming up the stage for hip-hop royalty.
And then came Wu-Tang Clan.
Featuring icons like Ghostface Killah, Method Man, RZA, and more, Wu-Tang took over Place Bell with a performance that paid tribute to their legacy while still feeling fresh and electric. Backed by a live band, the group delivered four distinct sets: the first a medley of Wu-Tang classics, followed by individual showcases that let each MC shine on their own. The addition of live instrumentation gave their beats extra punch, adding depth and dimension to their already powerful presence.
The stage setup was just as memorable as the music—featuring a massive tilted screen overhead and a visually arresting backdrop. The crew was clearly in celebratory mode, passing joints, popping bottles, and spraying champagne over a crowd that was loving every second. Fans threw up the signature “W” hand sign and rapped along word for word with the legends on stage.
From start to finish, it was a masterclass in hip-hop performance. Wu-Tang Clan reminded everyone why they’re still at the top of the game, decades in. Place Bell felt more like a block party than a concert—one for the books.
