Wynonna Judd brought her “Back to Wy” tour to El Cajon at the beautiful Magnolian Theatre, it was a night filled with some of her classic hits!
Wynonna Judd
As the lights dimmed and the band came out on stage, the crowd started going wild as they knew the icon Wynonna Judd was about to take the stage. Wynonna is known for being apart of the mother-daughter duo “The Judds” and also for her solo work which she is currently touring for. Wynonna has a very diverse fanbase of all ages, which was really impressive and also sweet to see families coming out together to see her perform!
As the show started, she performed some of her hit songs like “What It Takes”, “I Saw The Light”, “Grandpa”, and more! As a fan of Wynonna, I have fortunately got to see her twice now, the first time being at BeachLife Ranch Festival where she was performing but this was my first time getting to see her full show on her solo tour which did not disappoint at all! It brought me back to my childhood of listening to her with my grandma (who raised me) who absolutely adored her. The show was such a personal and intimate experience, she really knew how to make you feel comforted and immersed in the music. Her stage setup, visuals, personality, atmosphere, it was all so warm and inviting, it made you soak in every moment and sad when it was over. If you ever get the chance to see Wynonna live, I without a doubt encourage you to do so! It’s a night you’ll never forget.
