Sometime in 1985, Paul McCartney had given Michael Jackson some financial advice by telling him there was money to be made in buying the catalogue of other musicians.
Then on this day in music in 1985, Michael Jackson proceeded to buy the catalogue of The Beatles, by out bidding McCartney with a bid of around 47 million dollars.
Ouch, that has got to hurt..
